Once upon a time there was a girl named Meghan. She lived with her mum and dad in a old creaky house. There was a war going on and the Americans were invading Scotland. Meghan's mum and dad couldn't afford a bomb shelter , so they had to stay inside their house when a bomb siren went off . There were Scottish planes everywhere, you could never see the sky. One night Meghan's mum said "look up ! can you see that space in the sky there's no plane just a shining star" . Meghan now had hopes that everything would be better soon.

This is great writing, it brings together good description and a clear picture of the characters' emotions.
ReplyDeleteYou've used punctuation well and some good vocabulary - the old, creaky house - to help me understand the picture you want me to see in my head.
The idea of Scotland being invaded by America is an odd one - I wonder what the Scots did to upset the Americans . . . .
