My first few days at Broadgreen Intermedaite School...

Hello everyone,
I'm Maike Wakelin - Eckoldt and I'm going to tell you all about my first few weeks at Broad Green.

I have moved from Nelson Intermediate school. I was there for about four or more months. But now I have started Broad Green Intermediate. The experience has just been fantastic. Everyone has been so inviting and caring towards me as a new student and helping me out with the changes.

The teachers at Broad Green are very skilled in my opinion, I feel like I am learning so much already in Maths and english etc. Plus the fun attitude in the teachers towards the students is great. The class I have moved into is good. Room 5 students are fun and enjoyable to be around. It was funny to find that when I moved in there were 10 chickens! I sort of thought it was a bit odd! But then I realized it was a great way for us students to learn about caring and looking after pets properly.

As for friends that has not been a problem at all! The other students at this school are so open, fun and caring. They have been helping me by showing me around school, showing what everyone does at lunches and intervals but most of all being friendly! =)

When I first came the Christchurch South School was visiting for a while. But then the second week I was here they had left. There was a cool performance from Christchurch South School that was enjoyable to watch.

I have already made great connections with people and awesome friendships.

I'm glad that I get to spend my several weeks left of Intermediate at Broad Green before I move onto college. =)
