BRIDGE VALLEY

Yesterday room11 went to bridge valley we had a lot of fun activates like high ropes, save eddy , build a raft and swimming/free time

In high ropes we stand on the ropes and we had to move across the ropes and they got higher and higher you had to try to get to the other side while u were on a haunts on you so u were safe

Next we had to save a dummy called save eddy and what you have to do is save eddy. You are in 1 group together you go over things using long blue blocks and try to save eddy.

And get him from the hospital and take him back to the hospital if eddy fell on the ground u louse 10 points

the last activate was building a raft so what u do is build a raft and save everyone BUT if u touch the water you die!!! At the end of the day we went back to school and it was home time.

Writing Sentences

We are learning to write sentences.Starting off what is a simple sentence? A simple sentence is a sentence using a subject and a verb,so then we move onto what is a compound sentence a compound sentence is a two simple sentences joined with a word like for,and,nor,but,or,yet or a comma.Then we all wrote our sentences on the board.

Wood work with Mr Swain

Lately in woodwork, lots of people have been making bird houses so they can take them home and hang them from their trees so bird.

Some pupils have made trucks, tanks, cars and even skateboards.

Some pupils built new trolleys for the trolley derby and other people upgrade the trolleys to make them faster. Mr Swain asked some kids to dismantle some old bikes to upgrade the trolleys. They have to cut through the bike frame, take the chain off by using bolt cutters.They also have to take off the tires and take out the tube in the tires. By Kynan and Sam Cur.

Bridge Valley

Yesterday, Room 11 went to Bridge Valley and did some activity's
that were hard.

We did High ropes, team building raft and save Eddy.

The team building raft was hard. We weren't allowed to touch the water or we were out and eaten by the crocodials. Saving eddy was about a person that had to be taken him to the doctors. We had to carry him through an obstacle course and neither him or us were allowed to touch the ground. Then we had high rope which was like tree climbing but different - we had clips to keep us safe from falling off.

We went there for team work to try something new. Everybody tried something different and felt proud of themselves.

I was shaky and scared on the high ropes but I kept going. Then we had finished all the activitys we had free time. Ryan did a back flip on a trampoline for the first time.

We had fun and thank you Mrs Parker for taking us there.

Our Skype to India

On Thursday night, Room 11 came to school for a mini Skype night so we could Skype a mystery class from anywhere around the world. The mystery Skype works by each class taking turns at asking a yes/no question, to find out where in the world we were, and where they were. We all gathered around the computer, each with our atlas'. As soon as we started the call everyone was whispering ideas to each other. The place that came up a lot was "India".

We started off by asking the continent, and soon narrowed it down to Southern Asia, and that they weren't near the Pacific Ocean. But from there a lot more countries opened up. We then got our first big clue, they're mad about cricket. From there we narrowed it down to Pakistan, India or Sri Lanka. We asked about Sri Lanka, but it wasn't that, after a lot more questions, we got India.

It was extremely fun and we can't wait for the BIG Skype night in Week 10.
