I remember the happy memories of my great granddad coming back from the war Alive and safe. How worried and proud are family was when he came back. The story's he told about all the adventures he had. My heart aches for the families who's dads, granddads didn't come home. My great granddad now has pasted sadly but we honour his memory for all that he did for are country. Each year we were poppys to remind us of the great, brave soliders. that died during the war.

Hi Lilly, this is a marvellous tribute to your grandad. I'm glad you remember him every year and wear poppies.
ReplyDeleteThere are some spelling errors (story's - stories, who's - whose, pasted - passed, poppys - poppies) which can usually be spotted by rereading what you write. The computer's spell-checker should pick up the typos.
A nice piece of thoughtful writing. Well done.
