Today it was the morning of the school X-country. It was a cold morning, as I walked through the gateway to our house, my friend Bob called for me to join him on the way to school. When we got to school, we went straight up to the top field. Some people were already running. Bob put on his new black sneakers, (I already had mine on). My class warmed up and we were ready to go. I started the run behind everyone else, after a long 5km run. I was in the lead, the finishing shoot came closer and closer, I ran as fast as I could along the concrete. Bob was gaining on me, I could see his shadow, 5 meters to go and we crossed at the same time. What a day :-)
