Talking to Lidi in Chile

Our classmate Lidi is visiting relatives in Chile right now. We hooked up with her this morning on skype to see how she was getting on. We also found out some great facts about the country...

Chile

Population of Chile: 16,454,143.
Population of New Zealand: 4,173,460.

The area of chile: 756,495. sq.km.
The area of New Zealand: 268,021. sq.km.

The population of Chile is four times the size of New Zealand chile stretches about 4,300 km along the south west coast of South America. In New Zealand we are a day ahead of chile so if it is Wednesday in New zealand it would be Tuesday in chile. The time in Chile is sixteen hours behind New Zealand. The country its self is almost four times the size of New Zealand.

There are attractions ranging from the towering volcano peaks of the Andes to the ancient forest of the lake district attracts many people. Chile is a long strip down the south west side of America.
