Skyping South Korea

At 12:00pm we skyped South Korea we found out that they start school at 10 past eight in the morning and finish at 4:25pm. Then go back to school until 11 or 12pm they said they want to come to our country. They are lucky because they get to bring their devices to school everyday. But we are lucky because we get shorter time at school then them.

Skyping Australia

From 3:00 to 3:30, some of  Room 11 skyped Australia as part of their Skype night. We took turns asking yes/no questions to find out where each other were. We had narrowed it down to the Southern hemisphere and people were already guessing they were in Australia. We soon found out that they were in Queensland, Australia. We couldn't quite narrow it down to exactly where they were so in the end we told each other. They were in a tiny place called Monto which wasn't on the atlas.

We found it interesting when we compared our native animals to theirs and what their foods looked like. It was a great experience and the kids were very friendly.

Skyping Puerto Rico

                              skype night

It was fun skyping puerto we shared some fun facts like their famous foods.
They really wanted to skype us plus they had a really cool song and dance.
We showed them our traditional food of pavlova and roast.
There internet was bad but we still understood what they were
saying and then they lost volume.
The teacher said we will skype them another time.

Skyping India

On Thursday the 14th, we got the the chance to Skype India at 4:15. India was very interesting, they told us that they start school at 7:45 to 2:00 then they have a 4 hour break at home, after the 4 hours they go back to night school for 5 hours from 7:00 to 11:00 at night. Sometimes it can even go until midnight! India begin asking us about sports that we play, unfortunately we had a hard time because India had no idea what rugby.

Kenyan Meal by Caleb

Kenyan meal
On Thursday the 14 of April our class (room 11) had a shared lunch that we had to make. It was based on Kenya food like Chapati, Ugali, Pilau and Njahi Stew. Each group had something different to cook and shared it with everyone at the end. We all loved it and would love to do it again. None of the food wasn't wasted as we are having some of it for our Skype Night.
Thanks to all the parents who helped and Mrs Parker for organising the day and the food.
