Our first Skype session

On Monday the 25 of February we had a Skype session with a mystery class. Both classes had to try and find we each other were only asking Yes/No questions. They found out that we were in New Zealand pretty quick but then they had to find out were in New Zealand we were. We finally found out that they were in Thailand. By the time we had found out they were in Thailand they found out they we were in Nelson. After we asked questions on how they lived and we lived. In Thailand in the summer it got to over 45 degrees.

Specialist Class

Specialist Class
This term in Room 11, we are doing cooking and wood work for Specialist.  So far in cooking we have made fruit kebabs, fruit smoothies, banana delicious and cinnamon scrolls. In wood work we have made a chopping board, wooden spoon, pencil and pen holder, wooden cars and a mini person. Our Specialist classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is really fun, our most favourite time in cooking so far has been the cinnamon scrolls and our most favourite thing in wood work was the chopping board. We can't wait to go to the other Specialist Classes.

House Colour Day

House colour day was awesome and all houses competed. There was sponge races, sack races, egg and spoon... Everybody was competing and its was great for BIS News. People were supporting each other and supporting other houses. The houses that were competing were Marsden, Fifeshire, Woodstock, Isel, Whakatu, Monaco. But it wasn't over yet because we had to compete in class in tug of war. Room 5 was strong and worked as a team and won. All of these events added house points and at the end of the year whoever had the most house points won the House Cup.
