Broadgreen Intermediate 2015

 We are only a couple of weeks in to school, but we have already gotten so much done. Our Library is up and away, Rock band and Choir auditions are going well. And we have already started our Nayland pool program. And we even have camp this year! Our school is really cool and there are lots of things to try and do.

New Blog!!!

Hi everyone, since we are all getting so busy with our 100 word challenges, I thought I woudl create a different link for this - that way, our normal 'day to day' blogging will not get caught up in between such creative writing.

Chevawn - The Day My Fate Changed

                 

I trot to the end of the road on my horse buster; the sun carefully makes its way behind the tall green hills. As me and Buster make it back to the paddocks I hear a strange sound. ‘BEEEEEEES’ I screech in terror. We interrupted there hive that lay on a pipe. I loosen the reins and slightly kick buster until he bursts into a gallop. The swam of bees follow until we finally escape them.

The sun was shining when I woke up the next morning. I get changed into my jodhpurs, boots and put on my helmet. I soon make my way through the lush grass and horse manure when I see Buster standing there. I look in his eyes and can tell he trusts me!

Tyler - The horse

One nice sunny evening my tail was wagging eating delicous grass...Wait a minute u probably are confused i am a horse my name is mike anyways back to the story i was eating grass but all of a sudden i could smell something horrible at the minute i thought it was me but it was a huge PIPE beside me. I peeked inside but a grumpy old farmer pushed me inside i CAREFULLY SWAM down the GREEN water and found a room full of...nothing but GREEN water and crocodiles lets go get out of here CAREFULLY i SWAM down the GREEN water i went through heaps of PIPES until i found my way out.

Erana - A busy day

It was a hot sunny day in nelson so i swam around the green mossy river.

After an hour or two i had to get out.

I slowly and carefully climbed up the rocks to the car.

We got home and i had to quickly get ready for horse riding.

hours past and my mum was late to pick me up.

she called me after fifteen minutes to say that a pipe in our house had broke.

i was sitting at the parking lot waiting for my mum to pick me up.

when she arrived i got into the car and went to sleep on the long drive home

Fynn - the strange pet

One day a guy called Jeff decided he would go out for a walk whilst on his walk  he saw a lot of things one of them was a horse, whilst he was walking he was saying too himself, I must walk carefully or I might trip. Many people think Jeff is a strange because he has a pet pipe he thought it was a snake as he found it in a pond when he was on his last walk and decided he would fetch it out of the pond, he swam  out and rescued the so called snake which was in fact a pipe but never mind he thought I will pretend it is a pet.

In the it smell forestie I can hear and see the monkeys go eek aah. Hear the snakes go ssssss and it scares me. I was waking in the jungle and the sticks are creeking. The birds were tweet tweet tweet tweet .

Adam - At the swimming pool

Yesterday Rob swam in his breast stroke race and came first in the race. As he got out of the pool the main water pipe burst. Everyone had to get out of the pool immediately. Rob decided to walk home and on his way he passed a horse eating green grass on the of the road. As soon as Rob go home he turned on the tv and heard the news reader talking about the emergency at the pool. Bennetts plumbers had to rushed to the pool and turned off the water to stop it spraying every where. Then they carefully lifted a new pipe out of their van to replace the burst pipe just as other one burst.

Luke - The ultimate challenge

One old dull day I went for a trot on my horse when I saw a green mossy pipe, it was filled with murky green water. I wanted to see what on the other side so I swam thru it. On the other side   was a big swamp filled with crocodiles. I carefully swam through them, trying not to make a splash.  I made it in the end safely but then I got some mail and it said you have to do it all again. But there is a twist you have to go through more obstacles like pass thru turtles and eels.

Caitlin - An Unexpected Ride.

I looked out the window. The sky was tar-black and the large clouds were moving towards me.
I hopped out of the car at a halt.
I headed to the stables and tacked up my horse.
We headed out, Hazel cleared the first pipe.
I got the first splatter of rain when I was halfway across the Luscious green meadow.
The beautiful cocktail-blue shade was beginning to darken into gravel-grey.
“ Pitter patter “ It was like I swam into a sparkling pool.
Droplets of moisture began to drip from the leaves as I passed through under the large oak tree. Carefully but speedfully.

Dom- the spell

Once upon a time two people dumped a big couch in the forest. They dumped it because it had a spell on it. The spell was a sticky spell that sticks to anything. There was a cat on it and he is stuck there for ever and now he is stone. It was the wizard couch he had a spell on it thats why he put it in the forest and when people sit on it they turn to stone. A lady went to sit on the seat but she had a spell that she put on it and then the set was back to normal.

Maddison - My horse

I rode my horse, robin hood carefully  though the enchanted forest. Then I came across a  pipe  that was sticking out of the old tree stump that had rotted away in time. When I looked a bit further on I saw the pipe in the distant so I followed it. It lead me to a green swamp where I  sat and had some lunch, all of a sudden the green swamp started to bubble and scared robin hood so he jumped in the swamp and turned into a dog and swam away and that was the last I saw of him.R.I.P

Anna - The meadow

I slowly rode along the luscious green meadow on my horseDaisy. I looked at my surroundings and saw a repulsive slimygreen swamp. A mouldy pipe was oozing out revolting liquid slowly filling it up. I carefully trotted Daisy around the swamp and saw a clear clean water river that I decided I would have a swim in and wash Daisy in. I lead daisy into the river and swam around before I went over to daisy and started splashing water on her to clean her back and tummy. I sighed with a smile on my face there was no place I’d rather be.

My eyes are shut closed, dreaming of moose’s and maple trees.

I start to wake and my eyes start to water

 as I look out the frosted window of the plane.

I become to see the shimming fresh water lakes, the size of seas. The fir trees stood up high, curved around the lake like a spoon.

I look in front of my seat and see a flashing cherry red light, what was going to happen.

My head is bubbling, what is the light. Then suddenly we start to fall, going down to the ground, I was shaking not knowing what’s happening but then a bump, we landed just safely.

Blake - the ideal car

Every day after school I would go past the old farm where there was and old green racing car .  It had been sitting there for the last 12 years .When I turned 20 it was finally for sale. I rushed over to the farm house I knocked on the door and I said may I buy it please. The farmer said ok for 2,000 dollars I said done  .  When I opened the hood of the car I saw on the engine it said 350 horse power.  I carefully got the car on the trailer. Wedging it with a pipe. It was such hot work when I got home I swam in my pool.

Ruby - what a day!

It was a drizzly morning. I knew we wouldn't be doing much so  I decided to
do my own thing. I went down to the paddock and carefully saddled up my
horse Chestnut .We were practicing some tricks when I stupidly decided to do
a trick we had never done before .Chestnut got ready, he got a good running
start, he was about to jump over the pipe when he decided he didn't want to.
He stopped with a jolt. I came flying off right into a green slimy pond."
Yuk"! I swam out. Good job Chestnut.
